Hi, Stampers!
In September, I changed the format of my classes and began offering a Big Shot Class, a Stamping Techniques Class, and a Punch Class. I do believe that the Punch Class has become one of my personal favorites! There are so many things that Stampin' UP! punches can do ---- it's amazing!
Last week, we made three LOVELY Holiday cards using punches. Today, I have the punched Frosty one to show you.
To make this little guy, these are the punches that we used: 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Tag Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Small Star(nose) he Crop-a-dile (for his eyes) -- isn't he just too cute!
To make the snow -- a whole other technique all by itself! To get this effect, we used Sahara Sand paper (about 3" x 4 1/4"), tore it into two pieces, and adhered it to the Brilliant Blue Card Stock - leaving a little slot un-adhered (not sure that's a word!) to stick Frosty. Then we used a sponge and 'brushed' Whisper White Craft ink over the entire area, sprinkled a mixture of Irredescent Ice and White Embossing powder to cover, then heat embossed! Lovely effect! I used the Sahara Sand paper instead of Whisper White, because it is thicker and held the wet craft ink much better. Plus, where the snow has 'blown' away, it actually looks like the ground underneath!
Please let me know what you think and leave a comment!
Take care,
Tonja
