We are all so very thankful that Hurricane Irene was kind to us locally-- no power outages nor downed trees on our street. I am keeping those of you in my prayers that received the blunt of the storm and did not fare as well.

Today, I have a 'guest' blogger of sorts! :)

My friend, Nicole, sent me pics of the latest cards she has made for several events -- using mostly Stampin' UP products (of course)-- and they are all so LOVELY!

 

 This one uses Pocket Silhouettes and Thoughts & Prayers.

The ones below -- made for Nicole's new Preschool students  -- use Recess and Little Friends!

"Halloween" Holiday Stocking -- Witch's Boot

It's been a crazy week here at the Romero's house -- lots of 'pre' return to school prep including three trips to the dentist office. We also have a new 'rule' here ---- Mom will no longer accompany the kids to the dentist  when it involves pulling their teeth! Too much yelling and screaming and crying!  {yes, they had to give me a sedative -- ;)  }

I've also been going crazy - the good kind - with this Holiday Stocking Die which will be available to purchase on September 1st from the Holiday Mini! I found this idea our ONLINE DEMONSTRATOR WEBSITE from demo - Fran Sabad. I adjusted her idea to use as many items from the Holiday Stocking die as possible.

What a great way to DECORATE for Halloween or even to include a little pack of gum as a treat on the inside -- I used the MATCHBOX DIE (outside cover) on the inside of the boot and a pack of gum fits perfectly!

 I used the WORD WINDOW punch with Rhinestone Jewels for the 'laces', the Black Embossed hat came from the SEASON OF HUGS stamp set, the pointy shoe end came from using the 2 3/8" circle with the 1 3/4" circle punched out of it, and the HEEL is from the TOE of the Holiday Stocking Die.

Finally got a minute to play with the Holiday Stocking die (available Sept. 1st) which is from the new Holiday Mini! Hopefully, you received one in the mail if you are on my 'snail mail' list -- if not, let me know and I can get one to you ASAP.

 If you are a BIG SHOT fan - you've gotta' add this to your WISH LIST -- I also used some crazy silver glitter paper, stocking punch, jingle bells -- ALL from the HOLIDAY MINI! This little baby is PACKED with goodies!
